Samir Patel, MD

Dr. Patel is a dual board certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist. He is a fellow with the American Academy of Dermatology. He founded The Dermatology Group (formerly Advanced Dermatology and Dermatopathology) in 2004. He is passionate about finding the precise diagnosis for every patient and goes the extra mile to ensure patients are served well.

  • Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor of Arts, Northwestern University
  • Medical Degree: University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Nominee for the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society.

  • Internship in Internal Medicine: University of Cincinnati Medical Center
  • Dermatology Residency: University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Served as Chief Resident in final year.
  • Dermatopathology Fellowship: University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center

  • Consistently recognized by his peers in Cincinnati Magazine as a “Top Doctor.”
  • A past recipient of the Ruth and Mitchell Ede Award for Excellence in Dermatology awarded by the University of Cincinnati Department of Dermatology.
  • Served as the chair of the American Academy of Dermatology Resident Fellows Committee and as a member of the Council on Health Policy and Practice of the American Academy of Dermatology Association.
